Hungry for Jennifer Lawrence

I've been MIA.
I have a good excuse (a beautiful 6 pound baby boy named Grey!)
...but my husband was still mad that we couldn't make it to the opening day of The Hunger Games movie. Alas, checking out Jennifer Lawrence's fashion choices while promoting her epic movie will have to hold me over until I can get out of my house again.

Ralph Lauren

Prabal Gurung--should we forgive her for wearing two practically identical dresses to back-to-back premieres?

Prabal Gurung--loving her smokey eyes. But the bangs are weird!

Tom Ford--flawless.

Calvin Klein--love the color. But again, what's with the bangs?

Marchesa (with Elizabeth Banks in Elie Saab). Are we SO sad that Peeta is 3 feet shorter than Katniss?

Who saw the movie?
Will I still be team Peeta after I see it?
(Don't get H and I started on the Gale vs. Peeta debate.)

WW: pleather

Birthday month has been good to me. What? You only celebrate one day? Boooring. Try a birthmonth celebration- promise it's super fun!
We took a trip up to Omaha, did some fun things with the kiddos (the zoo there is fan.freaking.tastic) and did loads of shopping {!}. We tried out one of the "Diners Drive-ins and Dives" restaurants and I wouldn't be a good blogger if I didn't tell you about it. Next time you find yourself in Nebraska, scout out the California Taco and you won't be disappointed.

Anyway...back to the reason for this post...

Leather(ish) Leggings: Charlotte Russe
or my friend & fellow fashion blogger Amber found some great ones at Windsor

Olay Body Wash and $50

Time to give a big shout-out to a product that has changed my life. It's the simple things, right? Well this body wash has simply been a life-changer! Like most women, it seems I have a cream for every part of my body -- a daytime moisturizer, a primer, a toner, an eye cream, night cream, you get the idea, the list goes on. I am all about saving a little time and energy where I can, especially since I need to cater to a newborn and busy two-year-old these days! Well, OlayÆ Ultra Moisture Body Wash certainly helps save time! The people of Olay brilliantly added a jar of moisturizer into every. single. bottle. So glad someone finally had that "ah ha!" moment. It's so nice to skip extra moisturizing, which allows me more time for the more important things in life. I just love how this body wash makes my skin feel. So smooth, soft and moisturized. Can you say creamy? Usually I get out of the shower feeling parched and my skin feels thirsty. Especially in the winter it feels super dry and almost itchy! I always attributed that to my 120-degree water, but this body wash has seriously revolutionized my daily routine. I also love how it lathers. It's a dream. A little goes a long way for sure. Not only is it economical (you save on moisturizer and it lasts forever) but it also smells wonderful. My two-year-old likes it too. She says "Mommy, I smell yummy!" So cute and so right. Can't get over how soft and smooth this makes my skin. Seriously a must, people! Let's talk about how much I love saving time on my beauty routine. Do I sound like a broken record? It's pretty much a must these days.

Olay and BlogHer have teamed up to give a $50 VISA gift card to one of our lucky readers! For a chance to win, tell us: What are some of the ways you simplify your routine?

tie- {I} dye

Trend Watch Tuesday
presents:

the tied button down.

I'm obsessed.

Now I know what you're thinking...

images circa 1999 coming to mind. We're not talking B Spears here.

look how chic (and modest) a tied chambray shirt can be!

Your daily dose of J Crew:

And Forever 21:
And Madewell.
(not tied but it would totally work with this outfit)
on that note. WHY do I not own a chambray button down? Illegal.

Fashion Tip Friday: Floral Jeans

April showers bring May flowers!!...or something.

Let's talk about floral prints: They're not just for yo' gramma's bed spread anymore.

Although florals are in for all aspects of our wardrobe this season, today we're talking jeans. As in, floral jeans.

Have you guys seen this everywhere? Cause I have. And I can't not mention it.

Floral bottoms are a fun way to introduce another hit trend this season: mixing prints!

Verdict: Once I lose the baby weight (maybe I should focus on actually having the baby first), I will be sporting this trend. BUT don't expect me to show up in the designer version. I'm all about the cheap when it comes to fleeting trends such as this one.
Also, I like how these are super understated. Not everyone can pull off what Jessica Alba's got goin' on in the picture up there...

F21 $27

What do you think? Will you be floralizing yourself?
