An Announcement

We are extending our beautifying services to the {lovely, I'm sure} state of

That's right Zonies, shed a tear if you must.
One half of The BEAUTY MARK is moving and the only thing that keeps her head up is knowing she'll need a new winter wardrobe!

SO, what does this mean for you exactly? Well, this is the LAST week I'll be doing hair in AZ so if you've been wanting an while supplies last.
Although I will be back every 6 weeks, so don't fret if we can't get you in!

It's hard to wrap my head around a Winter Wardrobe whilst it's a muggy 110 outside. But, I'm in need of some serious

And if I can help it, I would really like to avoid having to wear

Now, I call upon all *beauties* who have ever faced the cold weather.
Any advice? What will keep my Arizona body warm in this frigid weather??

I moved from Arizona to Idaho last year.

1. Tights under your jeans. It actually makes a big difference in warmth without adding bulk so you can still wear your same jeans.
2. Snow does a number on your shoes. There is a waterproof polish and a suede protector I use that has totally helped.
3. I bought a pair of rainboots because they are totally waterproof, but buy a size bigger so you can wear big thick socks because the plastic gets so cold.
4. Scarfs, even thin ones, TOTALLY help.

Good luck with everything!

A Wool Coat and Leather gloves that are lined. They aren't just practical, but very chic. As much as beanie hair sucks, Beanies (on occasion) are a must. Living in the snow is very similar to the heat. Stay inside as much as possible. Don't forget to warm up your car BEFORE you get in it if you can. Good luck!

I hate to say it but sometimes the weather is so frigid outside all you care about is being warm and not what you look like, haha. But I'm sure you can pull off a cute outfit while you're at it. But waterproof boots are a those Hunter boots are fabulous. And I agree, definitely warm up your will be so much better, especially with a kid! And have fun in the snow and *try* a positive attitude about it when it's still snowing in April. The spring/summer/falls are worth it!

I agree with the comment above, remember that it is so much better to feel warm sometimes than look cute. Hence the Cameron Diaz picture!! Oh and don't forget to tuck your jeans into your boots. If they get wet its cold and miserable.

I moved from Az to Chicago 2 years ago. Scarves, lots of scarves. I was shocked at how much they helped! And gloves! And yes, waterproof boots. I made that mistake my first winter and destroyed some boots of mine :) And I only wore skinny jeans in the winter that I could tuck into my boots easily.

I actually moved from Utah to Arizona so I had to do the opposite but I lived in Utah for 22 years and worked at a ski are my staples! A puffy coat (I like columbia, patagonia, north face, or marmot) Sorels, they have such cute ones now! and of course Uggs...even if they don't look great with the outfit you'll be thanking yourself you wore them! good luck
