FTF: learn from Pippa

We wouldn't be a very topical blog if we didn't at least mention the rising star of a socialite Pippa Middleton.

Without further adieu, we present:
Pippa's Best and Worst Fashion Moments
(did you know her real name is Philippa? AND that she is younger than the infamous Kate? I coulda sworn she was at least 5 years older. My bad.)

side bar:
Here's my opinion, and then I promise I'll start being nice. I don't really get the whole hoopla with Pippa. I mean, sure, she's practically a royal by association, but the poor thing just got famous like 14 hours ago. That said, since she is going to be in the spotlight to stay (regardless of the length of William and Kate's matrimony), I think she needs a few tips.

Just as a for instance: (off the top of my head) how to dress for her body type.

P has to die for arms and legs. Her body looks better when she shows them, otherwise she can get uber-boxy. Also, she has to use clothes to give herself a waist, since her body is very athletic.

For example:

I personally think that Pippa would look better in a pair of wide-leg trousers (vs. skinny jeans) to give her bottom half some volume. She could pair them with a blousy tank that nips in at the waist and it would give her the ideal silhouette.

This all-black ensemble does nothing for P. She doesn't need to slimming effect that the black gives her, and covering up her legs with opaque tights is a crime. Especially when it makes her look like a pencil dipped in black tar. I will give her credit for the belt though (minus the cherry-red hue!)

Somebody must have brought these wardrobe issues to her attention, as showcased in the next few pictures. I like to think of these as "post-stylist" photos.

Ah, much better. It's like a breath of fresh air. What is Pippa doing right in these pics? Showing her legs, utilizing jackets to give her a waist, and going fuller on her bottom half with flowy fabric or creating hips using skirts that follow the line of her body.

This outfit could use a belt, but beggars can't be choosers.

Now that she has decided to step up her game, we can all feel free to take fashion tips from Pippa (just be wise and use your editing eye!)
